Learning to Listen is a live improvised sound journey performed during Mapping Being - an underground art exhibition.
As the situation in Auroville became increasingly hostile in 2024, the community came together through an underground art exhibition. All updates were spread through word-of-mouth and directions were given through a hand-drawn map. Installations were interspersed along forest trails. A way to get lost and found again and again in a forest that has been grown and cared for collectively for decades.
The intention was to rediscover the connections between individual, community and forest. How does one show up in times of conflict and confrontation?
